What to expect?
Working together
I offer Breathwork as 1:1 sessions or if you wish to invite friends or loved ones, I can accommodate small groups. Sessions take place online or in person in Whitby, Yorkshire.
Before we begin
We’ll start with a consultation to talk through your intentions for the session. I’ll also ask a few health questions beforehand to make sure breathwork is right for you.
Starting where you are
Not everyone arrives ready for a full session, and that’s completely okay.
If you’re feeling very overwhelmed, or if you’re feeling numb or disconnected from your body, a long, deep session might be too much, too soon. Sometimes the kindest thing is to go slowly and build trust first.
In that case, we’ll ease in gently. We might begin with shorter sessions and simple, supportive breathing practices. You’ll learn what a comfortable, easeful breath feels like and begin to notice what’s happening in your body, at a pace that feels manageable. There’s nothing to push through here. We’re building a safe connection with your body, so that deeper breathwork feels supportive when you’re ready for it.
This isn’t a step back. It’s the foundation, and it’s often what makes the deeper work possible. I’ll check in with you throughout, and you’re always free to slow down, pause or stop.
Your session
From there, your breathwork is personalised to what I feel will support you most. Sessions typically last around an hour. Afterwards, there’s space to ground and gently return.
Every session is different
Some feel expansive and emotional, some feel quiet and still, and some feel like a long-awaited rest. There can be laughter, there can be tears, and sometimes the most meaningful moment is simply being able to stay present with your breath.
There’s no right or wrong way for it to go. All of it is welcome, and I’ll be with you throughout.
